Pick one night of the week as homemade pizza night. Top with 4–8 oz tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of basil and/or oregano, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic power; add leftover cooked ground meat, chopped chicken, or turkey pepperonis, chopped bell peppers, mushrooms or onions, and a small amount of cheese for an inexpensive meal.
When you mix up the dough, make some extra dough. Press dough into pizza pans (use disposable pans if desired). Wrap in plastic wrap or bag in extra-large ziplocks and freeze for future use. Once they are frozen they can be popped out of the pans and stacked in your freezer. This will save you time when preparing pizza the next week. Take one or two out of the freezer and let them thaw and rise slightly before adding toppings and baking. See pizza dough recipe on this site. |

After you bake a chicken, let it cool slightly. Skin and de-bone it, then chop meat into bite sized pieces. Divide meat into meal sized portions and place in quart-sized ziplocks. Freeze for a quick and economical meat addition to soups, enchiladas or other recipe calling for cooked, chopped meat. |
